I'm an elementary teacher and mom turned photographer so needless to say I love working with kids - yes, all kids (even the wild ones!) - and families wanting to freeze this precious moment in time. I'm a huge believer in meeting my clients where they are and our sessions are always a blast. I always try to provide a mix of posed and candid shots and prompt you with fun games and questions to get those genuine smiles. My Journey
and giving back to the community
For a long time I've been passionate about a few things: I love design and have always had an eye for aesthetics (I have a masters in set and costume design), I'm a elementary school teacher and have a special place in my heart for our little humans (I have two of my own), and I love to make a difference in my community. I wanted to find a way to combine all my passions into a creative outlet once I became a mom and for one of my oldest son's first Christmases I had come up with a cute idea that I wanted to make into a tradition for our family and friends. I had spray painted and used my Cricut on a Little Tikes toy truck to make it look like a Christmas tree farm truck and then attached a little Christmas tree on top. I gathered up my baby and his tiny friends and did a photoshoot with my iphone. Our friends and family loved it so much that I offered it to a local moms group to raise money for charity.
I couldn't believe the response. It was so popular that it sold out in 30 minutes and I had to add another session date. We raised over 500 dollars that year for a women's shelter and the next year we doubled it for Kingston's NICU. I had so much fun with every stage of the process. I loved taking the photos and meeting all the littles, editing them afterwards, and delivering these adorable galleries. I loved it so much in fact, that for that Christmas, my husband bought me my first real camera and I started offering other sessions to local families.
A portion of every mini session I do now goes to charity. I love that I can be creative AND make a difference.

Family Sessions
Capture your immediate family at their best so you can freeze this moment in time. You can choose if you'd like posed photos or documentary style - I'm excited to snap your family photos either way! This includes at least 15 high-res images in an online gallery with unlimited downloads. OR
Grab the whole gang and lets take some precious photos. Grandmas, Papas, that funny aunt from out of province, that uncle who isn't technically your uncle but he kind of is anyways, your niece's dog, bring them all! We'll get big group shots, small group shots, and individual shots if you want them.

A private session at the location of your choice where I prompt you to get the most genuine and adorable reactions. Don't worry - you wont have to wonder what to do with your hands or if your smile looks awkward.
