Around town, I’m known for being a patient photographer who is great with kids, including energetic toddlers and little ones who need a little extra time and care. I love to pose by giving prompts and playing games rather than the stiff and forced poses you're used to. Throughout our time together, I’ll use creative ways to get everyone involved and smiling and help us all have a positive experience to look back on (they may even want to come back for more).
ABOUT ALICIA
I’m a mom, teacher and photographer based in Kingston, Ontario, who specializes in relaxed family photography, maternity sessions, and weddings for families and couples. My goal is to help you create meaningful memories without the stress because I believe the best images happen when everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Each session is designed to feel fun, easy, and pressure-free.

Three things are at the centre of my work at AMP: connection, thoughtful design, and community. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved storytelling and paying attention to the little details that bring a moment to life. With a Master’s degree in set and costume design, aesthetics have always come naturally and play a role in shaping the way moments are preserved. As an elementary school teacher and mom of two, I have a deep understanding of little humans, big feelings, and the beautiful chaos that comes with them.
AMP is rooted in the belief that photography is both creative and meaningful. Being able to work with families and helping them capture their most precious life moments, while supporting the community, is something I'm truly grateful for.

During sessions, my approach blends gentle direction without being overpowering, so your experience feels like you’re talking to a friend, not posing for a photographer. I incorporate playful prompts, simple games, and natural conversations, allowing me to capture genuine moments and real connections.

2022
I had an idea to create a holiday tradition for our family and friends, so I transformed a Little Tikes toy truck into a whimsical Christmas tree farm truck using spray paint and my Cricut, complete with a tiny tree on top. Friends and family loved the images so much that I decided to offer the session to a local moms group as a charity fundraiser.

I started taking this little business seriously, started offering minis sessions and raised money for local charities with every mini session I shot, took more courses, and won Silver in Kingston Community Votes.
.I received my first real camera as a gift and raised over $1000 for Kingston’s NICU this year. Over the year, I took so many courses and upgraded my camera and lenses. I practiced posing with the amazing moms from that local moms group who believed in me right from the beginning
2025
I was able to donate over $4000 to local charities thanks to my generous and loyal clients, won Gold in Kingston Community Votes, upgraded my main camera and lenses and added a second camera body to my gear. I also hosted Moonstruck, a gala for women in business.

GIVING BACK
A core part of my business is supporting local families and causes that are near and dear to my heart. Every mini session I host is dedicated to a specific cause. These charity-focused mini sessions have raised thousands of dollars for local organizations in Kingston, Ontario. In 2025, I hosted my first gala called Moonstruck, which is an event for women in business that raised money for Girls Inc. Limestone - an organization that supports local girls in reaching their full potential. Building community through meaningful connections and giving back is just as important to me as the families I photograph.
