Alright. Here it goes.
Hi. I’m Alicia. For those of you who don’t know me well, I’m a mom and teacher-turned-photographer and have been serving the Kingston area with cute family photos for the past couple of years. Recently, I’ve been taking some courses on running a photography business and almost all of them recommend starting a blog so you can document your journey. To me, a blog feels very … early 2000s. But I love a good throwback so I thought I’d give it a shot.
This will be a space for me to document the sessions I do (with model releases of course) and give a snapshot into who I am and what it’s like to work with me. Past clients can come to reminisce on how adorable and tiny their kids were, and future clients can get a feel for how much I love my current clients (hint: it’s a lot)
One of my favourite things about running Alicia Marie Photography is the charity work I get to do. This whole business concept started as a charity event where I took pictures with my iphone. I was blown away by the response and I had many of the Kingston area moms asking if I would do their family photos as well. My husband ended up buying me a real camera for Christmas that year and it kind of exploded into this amazing creative venture where I get to do something that I so enjoy while also giving back to our awesome community. Now every mini session I do has a charity attached to it so not only do you get some precious family photos, you also get to give back to a good cause.
I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the moms that have encouraged me along the way and to my amazing family – my husband and two babies. You all gave me so much confidence and love in the early days and made me truly consider taking this leap; something I would’ve never done otherwise. And even though the imposter syndrome is still very real, capturing your real-Life moments and trying to pause those fleeting memories for you with a warm, genuine and candid style has been such a privilege. I’m honoured that you’ve trusted me to do this.

Am I Really Doing This?

Most couples book 12–18 months out, especially for peak summer and fall dates around Kingston. That said, I do occasionally have last-minute availability — it never hurts to reach out. The sooner we connect, the better chance we have of making it work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely. I love to travel and I regularly shoot throughout Eastern Ontario including Prince Edward County, Belleville, Napanee, and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on distance — just ask when you inquire and I'll give you a straight answer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Every package includes a complimentary engagement session, full high-resolution edited images delivered to a private online gallery with unlimited downloads, sneak peeks within a week, and me — fully present and genuinely invested in your day from start to finish. I always try to include an second shooter, depending on availability and how far out you book.
Frequently Asked Questions
You'll get sneak peeks quickly after your wedding so you're not waiting in suspense. Full galleries are delivered with a turnaround time that lets me give every image the attention it deserves — I'll give you a specific timeline when we book so you always know what to expect.
Frequently Asked Questions
Warm, real, and genuine. I focus on emotion and connection over stiff poses — the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the way your partner looks at you when you're not watching, the dancing that happens after everyone thinks the photos are done. I'll give you gentle direction when you need it and get out of the way when you don't.
Frequently Asked Questions
It's actually my favourite kind of couple to work with. As a core French teacher, I've spent years learning how to make people feel comfortable in situations where they'd rather be anywhere else. By the end of their engagement session, most of my couples tell me it felt like we were all just hanging out with friends — and that's exactly when the best photos happen.
