I am obsessed with at home newborn sessions. There’s just something so special about capturing the first few days at home with your precious babies. We had done our newborn sessions at home with both babies thanks to the amazing Photography By Tiff and last week I was given the opportunity to be on the other side of the camera in a very similar situation.
My clients Steph and Nick invited me into their gorgeous home where I met their newborn son and his two older brothers. The boys have a very similar age gap to my two but are a few grades ahead of them (my oldest will be in kindergarten next year and their oldest was just finishing kinder). It was a bit like looking into my future watching the two brothers who had known each other for years share giggles and jokes. You could tell that they are best friends and that they have so much fun together.
It was both lovely and odd because, at the same time, it was like looking into my past in a way. I had JUST done newborn photos one year ago with my littlest so I remember all of the tiny coos and the overwhelming sense of love you get watching your babies interact. I loved seeing how the big brothers welcomed their little brother. You could tell they felt such a sense of responsibility towards him. I have a feeling the little guy will fit right in.
I’m a big fan of at home newborn sessions for many reasons. The documentary style can be so lovely. They are warm and intimate and comfortable and they provide an accurate representation of what the first few days at home with your baby are like. I can tell you that the last thing I wanted to do after bringing my youngest home from the hospital was load my whole family up and drive to a studio. Between parenting my toddler and the massive shift in lifestyle and amount of sleep I was getting, it was the last thing on my to-do list but I SO wanted to capture this amazing milestone in my family’s history. I have been there. Please believe me when I tell you that your newborn session doesn’t have to be another thing on your list.
These are moments you’re going to want to remember. Let me help you with that. Don’t let the idea of logistics overwhelm you and steal your ability to look back on these precious milestones in a tangible way. Let me handle everything – you just keep loving on your family and I’ll be there to document the amazing job you’re doing. Send me a message here so we can get started!

Stress-Free Newborn Sessions and A Glimpse Into My Future
February 20, 2026
Most couples book 12–18 months out, especially for peak summer and fall dates around Kingston. That said, I do occasionally have last-minute availability — it never hurts to reach out. The sooner we connect, the better chance we have of making it work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely. I love to travel and I regularly shoot throughout Eastern Ontario including Prince Edward County, Belleville, Napanee, and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on distance — just ask when you inquire and I'll give you a straight answer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Every package includes a complimentary engagement session, full high-resolution edited images delivered to a private online gallery with unlimited downloads, sneak peeks within a week, and me — fully present and genuinely invested in your day from start to finish. I always try to include an second shooter, depending on availability and how far out you book.
Frequently Asked Questions
You'll get sneak peeks quickly after your wedding so you're not waiting in suspense. Full galleries are delivered with a turnaround time that lets me give every image the attention it deserves — I'll give you a specific timeline when we book so you always know what to expect.
Frequently Asked Questions
Warm, real, and genuine. I focus on emotion and connection over stiff poses — the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the way your partner looks at you when you're not watching, the dancing that happens after everyone thinks the photos are done. I'll give you gentle direction when you need it and get out of the way when you don't.
Frequently Asked Questions
It's actually my favourite kind of couple to work with. As a core French teacher, I've spent years learning how to make people feel comfortable in situations where they'd rather be anywhere else. By the end of their engagement session, most of my couples tell me it felt like we were all just hanging out with friends — and that's exactly when the best photos happen.
