If you’re looking for a Kingston, Ontario engagement and wedding photographer who makes sessions feel relaxed, natural, and genuinely fun — this one is for you.
I first met Hayley and Dylan during an extended family session I was photographing for Hayley’s sister-in-law — one of my long-time clients. That session was memorable for so many reasons… including the fact that I photographed the entire thing with my two-year-old attached to my hip.
Earlier that day, my husband took my kiddos to the park with our friend (my second-shooter for weddings, Josh) and his two boys. My oldest son ended up breaking his wrist and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance with my husband. My youngest had just watched his dad and big brother leave, and even though Josh had come with us to lend a hand, understandably, he only wanted me. I didn’t have the heart to tell him no — so I photographed an entire extended family session while holding him.
And honestly? We made magic.
Hayley and Dylan later told me that watching me stay calm, connected, and creative in a stressful moment made them feel completely confident booking me for their wedding. If I could create beautiful images under those circumstances, they knew their wedding day would be in steady hands.
That trust means everything to me.
And in a small-world twist, we discovered that Dylan and I actually work together at my teaching job.
Kingston really is that kind of place.

Hayley and Dylan are getting married this summer, so we decided to switch things up and plan a winter engagement session in downtown Kingston.
Hayley told me she wanted “Hallmark Christmas movie vibes” — and downtown Kingston in the winter absolutely delivers.
The cobblestone streets.
The historic limestone buildings.
The glow of City Hall.
The outdoor skating rink.
It’s one of my favourite locations for engagement photos in Kingston, especially when couples want romance with a little nostalgia.
We started at the park where Dylan proposed (with their adorable dog in tow), wandered across to City Hall, used the skating rink and heritage buildings as our backdrop, and ended the evening at Milestones for cozy bar photos.
After we wrapped up, we stayed for a glass of wine and kept chatting — the kind of ending that makes a session feel less like work and more like spending time with friends.

One thing I hear all the time from couples is:
“We’re so awkward in photos.”
But here’s the thing:
You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s literally my job.
My approach as an engagement and wedding photographer is gentle guidance through prompts — movement, conversation, connection. I want it to feel like you’re just hanging out together, not standing stiffly in front of a camera.
There was so much laughter during this session. The kind that makes your cheeks hurt.
That’s always the goal.
When your engagement session feels comfortable, your wedding day feels even easier. You already trust the process. You already know I’ve got you.
I always include a complimentary engagement session when you book your wedding with me. Check out my wedding packages here.

Downtown Kingston Engagement Session | Hayley & Dylan
February 27, 2026
Most couples book 12–18 months out, especially for peak summer and fall dates around Kingston. That said, I do occasionally have last-minute availability — it never hurts to reach out. The sooner we connect, the better chance we have of making it work.

Frequently Asked Questions
You'll get sneak peeks quickly after your wedding so you're not waiting in suspense. Full galleries are delivered with a turnaround time that lets me give every image the attention it deserves — I'll give you a specific timeline when we book so you always know what to expect.
Frequently Asked Questions
Warm, real, and genuine. I focus on emotion and connection over stiff poses — the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the way your partner looks at you when you're not watching, the dancing that happens after everyone thinks the photos are done. I'll give you gentle direction when you need it and get out of the way when you don't.
Frequently Asked Questions
It's actually my favourite kind of couple to work with. As a core French teacher, I've spent years learning how to make people feel comfortable in situations where they'd rather be anywhere else. By the end of their engagement session, most of my couples tell me it felt like we were all just hanging out with friends — and that's exactly when the best photos happen.
